Mary-Ann Alberga (she/her/they/them) is a Toronto-born French Canadian and Italian visual artist and facilitator living and working in Burlington, Ontario, part of the current Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit.  Mary-Ann is a longtime member of the Elizabeth Gardens Creative Collective (Burlington) and has been a commissioned portrait painter since 2004. As an artist-mother, Mary-Ann’s practice is deeply influenced by children’s playful process-based approaches to art making and is continuously exploring new materials and ways of working.
