My art is inspired by my love of nature and travel. I combine pastel plein air painting with studio time, further exploring on location studies into enlarged artworks in different media. My paintings portray my love and hope for the natural world and my commitment to environmental conservation and aim to portray the atmosphere and beauty of a place. My process and style have been shaped by my curiosity and thirst for lifelong learning and studies at the Ontario College of Art Drawing and Painting program (A.O.C.A and BFA), Dundas Valley School of Art and my experiences as a former high school Art teacher.
I teach locally and hold Pastel Artist Canada Signature Status and am an Elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists and Colour and Form Society. I was recently accepted as Artist in Residence at the Art Gallery of Burlington, Burlington, Ontario
