Become an Artist for the 2024 Art Walk!

The Elizabeth Gardens Creative Collective (EGCC) invites artists of all mediums and skill levels to participate in the 2024 Art Walk. This free outdoor community event, funded by the Burlington Arts and Culture Fund, is not a sales market but a platform for artists to exhibit their work, interact with the community, and build valuable connections.

Event Details:

  • Date and Time: Saturday, August 24, from 10 am to 4 pm
  • Location: Burloak Waterfront Park
  • Expected Attendance: 300-400 (based on the previous three years)

Artists’ Participation:

As an artist participating in the event, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your artwork and interact with the community through an art demonstration or activity. Although direct transactions are not allowed at the event, we encourage you to share your business cards and contact details to foster future connections. Additionally, each participating artist will be provided with their own page on the EGCC website, be spotlighted in our “Artist Spotlight” social media feature, and benefit from various promotional activities leading up to the event. Many EGCC artists have reported new business opportunities and connections as a result of engaging with the community at previous Art Walk events.

Art Experience Stations:

In the past, several artists have set up interactive art stations, offering attendees the chance to experiment with different art forms or observe the artistic process up close. If you’re interested in running an Art Experience Station, the BACF grant is available to help cover the cost of supplies, and we can arrange for volunteers to assist you. Balancing your display, engaging with visitors about your art, and managing a station can be challenging, but it also provides a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community. Should you wish to run a station, you can express your interest on the registration form.

To join us at the 2024 Art Walk, please complete the application form. We will review your application and contact you to discuss your participation and the next steps.

By registering you agree to the following:

  • Your display will be ready by 9:45 am latest on the day of the Art Walk.
  • You will not take down your display before 4 pm.
  • You agree to promote the event.
  • You understand this is not a market and no sales/transactions will take place at the event.
